ACE Export Opportunity

The Accelerating Cross-border Engagement (ACE)

ACE was launched in September 2013 and was funded by the Seventh Framework Programme of the EU. The ACE programme provided intensive tailored one-to-one support to ICT start-ups and SMEs to ensure that they rapidly gained entry and boosted their growth into European markets.

The following countries took part in ACE and provided local support and mentors:

  • Belgium
  • Italy
  • Czech Republic
  • Ireland
  • Finland
  • Luxembourg
  • France
  • Portugal
  • Germany
  • Sweden
  • United Kingdom

ACE’s final conference in Brussels saw UK company Agewell Biometrics receive ACE’s Best Living Lab Award for the two Living Labs they undertook through overseas partners in Finland and Belgium and the expansion this helped them fuel.
